13 EMDRIA credits are approved for EMDR trained therapists.
This training is open to Licensed Mental Health Professionals.
Advances in therapeutic Interventions and Treatment of Dissociation have informed the adaptation of the eight phases of EMDR Therapy to facilitate the resolution of complex trauma and the repair of a divided self. This training will utilize the foundations of a structural model of dissociation, ego state therapy, mirror neuron research, and attachment theory to teach attunement, and interventions in all phases of EMDR therapy to work with defenses and dissociation toward the resolution of trauma and the integration of the self.
Throughout the workshop, the EMDR Phases used for all interventions will be identified with steps for weaving the interventions into that phase while maintaining fidelity to the model of EMDR Therapy.
Objectives of this training are to:
- Identify ways to design EMDR treatment with effectiveness and efficiency
- Know the therapist pre-requisites to work in attunement with clients
- Know how to map a client’s internal system
- Be able to structure a psychotherapy session to maximize desensitization
- Identify the markers of internal integration of unresolved events
This event will also feature co-presenter Dr. Emily Rademan.
