DESCRIPTION:BE the Calm in the Storm: Moving Activated Complex Memory to Resolution in EMDR Therapy\nLocation Online and Live at University of Wyoming Casper Campus\, 125 College Dr # 163\, Casper\, WY 82601 \nTrainer: Jan Schaad\, EMDR Certified Therapist and Consultant \nMay 11-12\, 2023 • 8:30am – 12 noon & 1:00pm – 4:30pm (Mountain Standard Time Zone) \n13 EMDRIA credits are approved for EMDR trained therapists. \nThis training is open to Licensed Mental Health Professionals. \nAdvances in therapeutic Interventions and Treatment of Dissociation have informed the adaptation of the eight phases of EMDR Therapy to facilitate the resolution of complex trauma and the repair of a divided self.  This training will utilize the foundations of a structural model of dissociation\, ego state therapy\, mirror neuron research\, and attachment theory to teach attunement\, and interventions in all phases of EMDR therapy to work with defenses and dissociation toward the resolution of trauma and the integration of the self. \nThroughout the workshop\, the EMDR Phases used for all interventions will be identified with steps for weaving the interventions into that phase while maintaining fidelity to the model of EMDR Therapy. \nObjectives of this training are to: \n\nIdentify ways to design EMDR treatment with effectiveness and efficiency\nKnow the therapist pre-requisites to work in attunement with clients\nKnow how to map a client’s internal system\nBe able to structure a psychotherapy session to maximize desensitization\nIdentify the markers of internal integration of unresolved events\n\nThis event will also feature co-presenter Dr. Emily Rademan. \nEmily Rademan\, Licensed Psychologist is a certified EMDR Therapist and Approved Consultant. Emily maintains a private practice in Colorado Springs\, CO and focuses on the treatment of preverbal wounding\, complex trauma\, and dissociative disorders.
