DESCRIPTION:Treating Habits and Addictions with EMDR Therapy – November Virtual Training\nThis training will be held virtually\n8:30am – 5pm (Eastern Standard Time)\nNovember 6 & 7\, 2020\nADDICTIONS…habits with negative consequences where people find rewards that make it difficult to change. Frustrating to have\, frustrating to help people with. \nThis workshop will equip EMDR clinicians with knowledge and skills to address addictive patterns directly utilizing the standard eight phase EMDR protocol. Cancellation fee is $60\, and must be requested in writing. No refunds will be granted within 48 hours of the training. Licensed Professionals should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval. \nObjectives: \n\nName the client resources needed for the re-processing of problematic habits/patterns.\nIdentify 3 strategies for expanding client stabilization and readiness for processing of addictive patterns.\nIdentify therapist strategies for determining the positive functions of defenses.\nName 3 questions to assess the client’s readiness to change within the AIP model.\nDescribe and use the procedures for targeting positive affect.\nDescribe the procedures for targeting urges to engage in addictive patterns.\nIdentify the protocols for working with relapse.\nDescribe how to use the Two Handed Interweave with addictive patterns.\nDescribe 3 ways to use future template in EMDR with addictions.\n\nCancellation Policy \n• Grievances (Example: All grievances must be in writing to jaqs2003@gmail.com\, and will be replied to within 5 – 10 business days.) \n• ADA assistance (Example: This workshop is held in facilities which are in compliance with the Americans Disabilities Act.
