DESCRIPTION:EMDR Therapy Basic Training Course Provided by Jan Schaad through the EMDR Institute\n \nPart 1: April 28 – 30\, 2023: 8:30am – 5:00pm (Mountain Daylight Savings Time)\nPart 2: August 4 – 6\, 2023: 8:30am – 5:00pm (Mountain Daylight Savings Time) \nThis course is EMDRIA approved for 50 CEs.  EMDR Basic Training includes 6 days of didactic presentation and practicum\, followed by 10 hours of case consultation. \n\nThere is a limit of 10 participants in this course.  Those who would like to use a payment plan please reach out to Jan Schaad directly. \n\nBuy Your Ticket\nClick here for your Application Form \nAbout EMDR Basic Training. The Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy Basic Training (Parts 1 and 2) is designed for licensed mental health practitioners who treat adults and children in a clinical setting. EMDR Therapy Training includes didactic presentation and practicum and 10 hours of case consultation. Participants will also be required to log into the Canvas Free system to complete online asynchronous learning\, competency quizzes\, and other documentation. This EMDR Training is compliant with EMDRIA online learning requirements and is lead by an EMDRIA approved trainer. During Basic Training\, attendees will learn the eight phases of EMDR therapy. \nAbout EMDR. EMDR is a comprehensive psychotherapy that accelerates the treatment of a wide range of pathologies and self-esteem issues related to disturbing events and present life conditions. This interactional\, standardized approach has been empirically tested in over 30 randomized controlled studies with trauma patients\, and hundreds of published case reports evaluating a considerable range of presenting complaints\, including depression\, anxiety\, phobias\, excessive grief\, somatic conditions and addictions. EMDR therapy is guided by the Adaptive Information Processing model which addresses the unprocessed memories that appear to set the basis for a wide range of dysfunction. A number of neurophysiological studies have documented the rapid post treatment EMDR effects. \nAbout Jan Schaad. Jan Schaad is a licensed clinical social worker with many years experience in mental health treatment of individuals and families\, who uses best practices for resolving personal and relational patterns. A certified EMDR therapist\, Jan has been a clinical consultant since 2004. She teaches an EMDR Therapy Basic Training Course regionally for the EMDR Institute. Jan also teaches advanced EMDR Trainings\, and is a consultant for Learning EMDR\, becoming certified and consultants in training. Jan has been on the faculty for the International Winter Symposium on Addictive Disorders and Mental Health for many years.  She currently has a private clinical practice in Pinedale\, WY\, where she provides intensive EMDR therapy. Participation will include a combination of online activities and synchronous online practicum training facilitated by Jan Schaad. Consultation will take place via phone or online via Zoom in fulfillment with EMDRIA requirements.
